Top parts from That Peter Crouch Podcast: That Stats Episode
Back once again with Crouchie, Christ Stark and Tom Fordyce this week talking all things stats. The modern game has become absolutely obsessed with the data that is being brought into the game. XP and XG seems to be a particular talking point. The lads highlight some of Crouchie’s best and most bizarre stats in the Premier League. Then probably one of the weirdest bits of advice the lads have ever given out.
Here are our top parts from this week’s episode:
Pete’s by Dre, the headphones you didn’t know you wanted, but the collaboration everyone wants to see. The lads are taking the p*ss out of Crouchie’s massive headphones that look like the arch at Wembley. If you think this is going to be copyright infringement, you clearly do not know the pod.
Crouchie mentions a recent conversation with Jack Grealish and the obsession with the young ballers regarding their stats. Crouchie puts the hard question to himself and answers whether he would like to play in the modern game.
Chris Stark talks all things from Windows XP to XG. The expected goal and where the game is going wrong with XG.
The lads talk about some of Crouchie’s most bizarre stats with more Premier League assists than Cristiano Ronaldo and Paul Scholes.
Is there a Parched-like mentality to stats? There are those players who pump up those numbers purely with their Parched mentality.
The boys discuss Crouchie’s stats on www.whoscored.com and being 96% right footed.
The lads give tips to one of the audience on how to propose. Definitely one to remember and please be advised that is purely advice not a recommendation. However, if you do take their advice I would be very interested to know what the reaction was.

So Euro 2020 finally got underway after the 1 year delay from COVID, and what a way to get it started… The Opening Ceremony was exactly as you would expect the Italians to do, sparing no cost rolling out the almost eternal and national treasure Andrea Bocelli to sing Nessun Dorma at the Stadio Olimpico […]
First and most importantly, our thoughts are with Christian Eriksen, hopefully he’ll make a speedy recovery. It really does put the game in perspective when shocking incidents like this happen. I think the most surprising and shocking element is that this could happen to such a fit young man, worst of all being streamed live […]
