The shocking Christian Eriksen collapse at EURO 2020

First and most importantly, our thoughts are with Christian Eriksen, hopefully he’ll make a speedy recovery. It really does put the game in perspective when shocking incidents like this happen. I think the most surprising and shocking element is that this could happen to such a fit young man, worst of all being streamed live to millions watching at home and around the world.

It definitely reminded me of Fabrice Muamba’s cardiac arrest where his heart stopped for 78 minutes at White Hart Lane. In this part Fabrice Muamba talks relives his cardiac arrest. Hopefully Eriksen will be able to play again. 🙏

There will definitely be some very similar experiences between Muamba and Erikson.

This part is particularly harrowing, especially hearing the commentary word for word.
